About US

KidsGUARDINGKids.org is a foundation with a vision and mission to service and provide safety, awareness, resources, and affordability to all athletes young and old who participate in sports or activities around the country.  Whether you are participating in your local recreation program, martial arts academy, organized scholastic sports programs, competitive travel programs, local/regional/national circuits, or elite professional levels, KidsGUARDINGKids.org is dedicated to providing you with the necessary safety measures, equipment, or devices to minimize the risk of injury at an affordable cost.  The foundation has partnered with some of the largest local, state, regional, and national organizations and companies to drive the initiative into our communities and save our athletes from severe injuries.

KidsGUARDINGKids.org is an initiative founded in 2013 by medical specialists, athletes, parents, coaches, and children who believe that all participants in any non-contact and contact activity or sport should be properly protected and the most effective safety measures no matter the cost.  In particular, the area of head injury or trauma and concussions has been a very scary and important subject over the past few years.  The importance of these injuries are not only the concern of physicians, but also parents, the athletes, coaches, and sports directors and there is no dollar amount you can put on an injury of this type.  Some of the facts are:
  • It is estimated there are between 1.5 and 2.0 million concussions reported and documented in the U.S. every year related to sports and recreation activities and the number is increasing each year.
  • Dental damage and injuries are significant with millions of teeth being damaged or knocked out each year. The dental bills to repair or replace these teeth are in the tens of thousands of dollars.
  • High school athletes are among the most highly injured with over a half million concussions being reported in each of the past 3 year.
  • 10% of all contact sports participants get a concussion.  The younger the concussed athlete, the longer the recovery time for a concussion.
  • Brain injuries cause more deaths than any other sports injury, accounting for over 65% of all fatalities.
  • An athlete who sustains a concussion is 6 times more likely to get a second one.
Through KidGUARDINGKids.org and our partners we are determined to make much needed equipment and resources available to all athletes from amateur junior athletes through seasoned adult athletes.  The hard work and determination to assist our communities is our main focus and we will continue our journey until all are granted what they deserve which is their safety, their life, and their enjoyment of participating in activities which embellish competition, team work, ambition, determination, and a multitude of life lessons.

With every dollar contributed by our partners, programs, and participants, we are one step closer to meeting our goals of providing affordable, effective, and accessible safety equipment and devices to our athletes.  In addition, a portion of all proceeds contributed or purchased through our program will go back to all the participating programs and head trauma and concussion research centers for continual research, studies,  tests, and information in this very important area.
